Spacious Home with Potential, but Needs Better Upkeep Positive: It can be tough to find good accommodation in Yosemite, but this house turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It’s a large, private home with plenty of space, and the host has thoughtfully prepared many amenities. Even though it’s in a fairly remote location, the internet connection was strong and reliable. If you enjoy spending time on the deck, this place is perfect. Negative: The house has good facilities, but the maintenance leaves much to be desired. Even the basic cleaning was not properly done — there was dust under the sofa and bed, and the floors looked like they had only been lightly vacuumed. Many of the blinds were broken, and the window screens were torn with holes. The beds were also inconvenient: very high to climb onto, and the master bed made loud squeaking noises. In addition, the road (Colorado) leading to the house is partly unpaved on one side, so you need to be careful when driving in. Don’t rely too much on Google Maps for directions.

Great indoors, great location, 100% worth it Positive: Beautiful property with a wonderful living room layout. I loved all the light that was coming in. We had a toddler with us, and there was a high chair, pack and play and I think a stroller available in the main room closet. All great brands like nuna and joovy. LOVED the kitchen and the open layout of the kitchen+living room. We used the hot tub for two nights out of three. It was clean and well maintained. We also used the grill which was available - it also worked great. There was all necessary utensils available for cooking, and there were coffee and spices as well which was also great. I might mention to the host to maybe add some oil to the kitchen pantry, but that's just a nice-to-have. We also used the washer/dryer - there was enough for a couple of washes which was also great. Overall, I had a wonderful experience on this stay. Negative: We had booked three nights of stay, and we used the kitchen quite a lot. There was only one dishwasher pod available which cause some inconvenience to have to wash the utensils by hand for the second and third nights. We tried using the dish soap in the dishwasher but that didn't clean the utensils completely. I let the host know about this, and they responded that they will keep that in mind for next stays.
